Tip 1: Set a Vision in the form of a 5-10 year dream of what could be
Tip 2: Know the numbers: understand where you're making your biggest profit. If you can't get your head around it, hire someone who can
Tip3: Know your weaknesses. Work out what you're not good at doing in your business. Then outsource the task of completing them to someone who's good at them, but make sure you retain a top-level understanding of what's happening in this area
Tip 4: Celebrate successes. Go and have a good time on your own, with your staff and/or your business partners. Research shows that enjoying successes keeps you hungry for more.
Tip 5: Don't just trade your time for money. To get out of the employment trap at some stage you need to levearge what you know by building a product or service that doesn't rely on your time or your staff's time to deliver. Build it and scale it...
Tip 6: Spread the load. Use a coach, mentor, friend or partner to discuss problems with your business. You can't do it all by yourself, and you don't know what you don't know.
