There were so many great entries to this year's survey competiton. We asked people how they'd spent $100,000 promoting their businesses, with a prize offered to the most creative answer.

Ideas included hot air balloons, dodgy experimental cell biologists, budgie smugglers, private yatchs emblazoned with brand logos, red Ferraris, record label deals, live celebrity video links from Antarctica, the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, and a giant "laser beam."

But there can only be one winner, and the winner is: Dean Carey from Actors Centre Australia...

“400 guests crowd the 1880 Church which is our current theatre. An expectant musical 'hum' draws people through the lantern-lined path. The music builds to a crescendo and a spot light strikes centre stage and Hugh Jackman (our Patron) soars into a musical medley all about stepping into the light onstage, about 'shining' and about everyone's inner spark.

The hot jazz trio builds with him to the climax and he ascends a staircase that takes him to the pinnacle of the roof of the building - the sky is indeed the limit and this is the theme of the event. …It feels like an academy awards show event and has excitement, pace and pizzazz.

There are prizes, course give-aways, the champagne flows and everyone in that room knows that Actors Centre Australia means what we say: excellence unsurpassed in creative achievement.

Everyone feels both the power and the potential the journey of acting can offer and that ACA is the epicentre of it all.”
